We Love You, Lorie!!

My dear friend Lorie is no longer suffering. She is in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Lorie, had strength that you couldn't even imagine. She left behind a wonderful husband, Daryl, and two precious boys, Noah and Zach. Please, continue to pray for Daryl, the boys, Lorie's Mother (Brenda), and my dear friends Sherry and Kenny (Daryl's Parents). We love you Lorie and you will be greatly missed!!

Our Day at Children's Hospital!!

This morning, when we arrived at Children's we got all signed in and we had to wait. Lizzie Kate climbed in all of the vacant chairs in the waiting room, she jumped, she crawled, she danced, you get the picture. We only waited about 20 minutes, and they called us back to get her vitals and weight, and you guessed it NO weight gain. They took us back to our room and we had to get her in the hospital gown and she got to play while we waited. We saw a few different people. An Anesthesiologist Student came in and asked us some questions about our medical history. Then we saw the Nurse Anethesist that was going to be in the Operating Room and she assured us that she would hold Lizzie Kate if she cried (that made me feel so much better). Our Nurse came in last and she was excellent. She asked us for Lizzie Kate's complete medical history and that took what seemed like forever. After the Nurse left it was only about 10 minutes and they came to get our baby. We walked this long hall and Lizzie Kate reached for the lady that we were walking with. When we got to the OR she went right to the lady. They let her keep her passy and her blankie so she would have it when she woke up. I cried the whole way back to her room. I know that it was harder on me than it was on her. Jeremy was very supportive. I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful husband and my children have the best Daddy in the world. Anyway, Jeremy went to get me some breakfast while we waited on the Doctor. When, Dr. Thame came in he said that everything looked normal but with what he was looking for, we have to wait about a week and a half to two weeks for the results. I also talked to him about some thing called Endochrine (it's a growth hormone). If everything comes back negative then we will see what he wants us to do and we may also be referred to an Endochrine Specialist by our Pediatrician. She got back to the room about 30 minutes after we saw Dr. Thame. She was really fussy and still had her IV in her foot. They told us she had to continue to IV drip until she would drink something. Mrs. Barbra Ash (Lizzie Kate's old Sunday School Teacher) works at Children's and she came by to see her. It was SO sweet of her to come by and check on Lizzie Kate. While she was visiting with us, Chris Howell (the Minister of Adults at CrossPoint) came to see us. We finally got Lizzie Kate to drink about 6 ounces of Apple Juice. After she was able to hold that down, they came and took her IV out and we signed the discharge papers. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Children's Hospital for taking such good care of our baby!!

Lizzie Kate has eaten normal all afternoon. We stopped on the way home and got her a Frosty from Wendy's. She didn't want that she wanted a hamburger and french fries. She has eaten normal all afternoon!! She was a little tired but has been playing her heart out this evening. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers for our precious baby girl!! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people!! We love you all!!

What a Weekend!!

What a great weekend we had!! Friday night, we all went to Wal-Mart to buy groceries. We got up early Saturday morning and took the kids to my Daddy and Carrie's house. Thank you B-Pa and CC for taking such good care of our babies!! Jeremy and I left and went up to my Moma and Rodney's and Jeremy changed to oil and the air filter in the van. Rodney had to work a half day so my Mom and I got to spend some much needed time together. Jeremy and I left and went by the new house to see the progress with the deck, then we went to Subway for lunch. I had a hair appointment at 230, and we still had like an hour and a half, so we went to Goody's and Wal-Mart. We had fun just walking around in both stores spending some time together. Then I went to get my hair cut and boy did I get a lot cut!! I actually had enough to donate to "Locks of Love". Jeremy and I went to Academy after I got my hair cut and we ran into a couple that I went to High School with, they were telling us all about there twin girls (wow!!). I couldn't even begin to imagine twins!! We left and went to the mexican restaurant and had a wonderful supper. It is so nice to sit down and be able to enjoy your food without having to rush!! We came home and packed (YUCK!!). But, if we want to move it has to be done. This morning, we got up and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and it was wonderful. Jeremy and I were trying to remember the last time we actually went out for breakfast and I don't think we have been by ourselves since before Hayden was born. Then we went and picked up the kids and came home. We hung out here for a little while. Jeremy and Hayden played outside while Lizzie Kate took her morning nap. Then I left and went to Montanna's (Tanna) 10th birthday party (My wonderful husband kept the kids for me.)!! She had a Decade Party where you dress up in clothes from your favorite Decade!! She had a DJ with great music and dancing!! I can't believe she is 10!! I remember her being born like it was yesterday!! Happy Birthday Tanna!! We love you!! I picked up Zaxby's on the way home and came home and ate, then bathed the kids and they are in bed. We don't really have much to do this week, except I have to take Hayden to my Mom on Wednesday and Lizzie Kate Endoscopy is scheduled for Thursday. Please, keep Lizzie Kate and our family in your prayers this week. Also, please continue to pray for my dear friend Lorie Johnson and the entire Johnson family!! I hope you all have a wonderful week. I should have some pictures from Tanna's party soon!!

Amoxicilin Measles

This morning, I got up really early and decided I would go run some of my errands. So, I took the kids to Jack's to get some breakfast, and when I turned around hand Lizzie Kate her hash browns and she was splotchy all over her face. I pulled the over and her arms were covered, I couldn't see her legs because she had tights on under her pants (because it was so cold outside). I called the Doctor and they said to bring her in ASAP! So, off we all go to the Doctor. When we get there they take us straight back. The doctor came in and said we have the Amoxicilin Measles. Apparently, Lizzie Kate is allergic to Amoxicilin. The Doctor told me to stop giving the Amoxil and to give her Benadryl for the rash. She did have the rash from head to toe. At least the rash doesn't itch and she doesn't seem to feel bad!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

GOOD NEWS!!

My Sister In Law (Jeremy's Sister from Kentucky) just called and told me I am going to be an Aunt in 2009!! I am SUPER EXCITED!! Even though we don't get to see Tuck that much, I am still excited about being an Aunt again!! When she told me, I couldn't believe it! So, Congratulations to Brian, Mandi, and Big Brother Tuck!!

Also, I wanted to clarify myself about Lizzie Kate. I have gotten a couple of e-mails wondering what is going on with Lizzie Kate's weight. Lizzie Kate is not gain weight properly. She is having and Endoscopy done on Thursday, January 22, 2009. She will be completely asleep for the procedure. The Gastrointologist thinks she has Celiac Disease (this is where you are allergic to wheat products). She tested negative on the blood test but the Doctor says you can get a false negative with this particular test. Please keep Lizzie Kate and our family in your thoughts and prayers!! I will keep you all posted!! Have a wonderful week!

BOGS?!?!?

Ok, Hayden has been having a dream about "BOGS" for the past three weeks. There are some dogs in a fence right outside of his window and at first that is what we thought he was talking about. Well, last night after Hayden went to bed Jeremy and I were sitting here watching TV and all of the sudden Hayden starts crying. We go check on him and he tells us about the "BOGS"! So, I have been asking him what they look like and he would just say "BOGS". And, he would say it like "don't you know what I am talking about?". Finally last night he holds his fingers up and says "they look like little tiny rabbits!!". It was absolutely hilarious with his facial expressions. Needless to say Jeremy had to go outside and send the "BOGS" away. It has been an interesting past few weeks with the "BOGS". We pray for them to not scare us at night!!

Weekend in Review!!

Well, there is not too terribly much to tell. Friday night, the kids and I met Jeremy to eat at Cracker Barrel. We had a wonderful meal and the kids were great!! Saturday morning, Jeremy had to go to work so the kids and I hung out at home. The weather was terrible. The kids took good naps and we went to eat at Olive Garden (it was great!!). Then, we headed off to the new house to see the new carpet and new deck. I was amazed at the carpet and the deck is HUGE!! We are SUPER EXCITED!! We drove home in the storm and got home and got the kiddos ready for bed!! Sunday, was Church and it was SO cold outside we came straight home and tried to stay warm. Jeremy and I cleaned out some cabinets (getting ready for the dreaded move).

Lizzie Kate woke up from her nap with a fever. She is getting some teeth. So, she just laid around on me all evening. I cooked, and now we are off to bed!! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Our Precious Babies!!

Lizzie Kate's Weight Check!!

Well, we actually gained 4 ounces!! I couldn't believe it. The Doctor told me that of course we are still not where we need to be, but 4 ounces is better than none. We are up to 18 whole pounds!! The Doctor also told me that I could go ahead and turn Lizzie Kate to the foward facing position in the car!! I am SO excited!! She said that she felt her bones were strong enough. I wanted to make sure because Hayden was already 22 pounds at one year.

We are not scheduled to go back to the doctor until we have the Endoscopy on January 22, 2009. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers!! Lizzie Kate sure is a little stinker!!
